Rainfall’s Monsoon Chain employs a blockchain secured by a Proof-of-Stake consensus model and is built on a Layer 2 solution using Polygon CDK (Chain Development Kit). The Polygon CDK allows for the creation of customizable, scalable, and interoperable blockchain networks that integrate seamlessly with Ethereum.
The Polygon CDK-based L2 utilizes a consensus mechanism that ensures the network’s security and efficiency. This Layer 2 solution enhances finality and flexibility, addressing the limitations of traditional BFT (Byzantine Fault Tolerance) models. The Polygon CDK provides high throughput, robust security, and effective decentralization, solving scalability issues on the blockchain platform.
The Rainfall Network provides the world’s first Self-Sovereign AI framework, aiming to revolutionize personal data ownership and control. The network is secured and powered by Rainfall nodes, which serve as the infrastructure backbone, supporting transaction validation, decentralized storage, and data privacy within the ecosystem. Node owners become integral participants in this self-sovereign network, earning Raindrop (RDP) tokens through active participation in securing and supporting network operations.
In addition to earnings, Nodes also enjoy -
Nodes earn in 3 unique ways in the Rainfall System.
2.5% of every transaction -
The primary transaction in the Rainfall system is the selling of Real-time Social Intelligence (RSI) to participating buyers in the Rainfall ecosystem. These buyers could be businesses (in dashboards, BI systems, AI), large AI as well as other Kindred Bits (see Rainfall’s Kindred Bit whitepaper to learn more about the uniqueness of the Kindred Bit AI). Buyers pay for these algorithmically priced RSI in the Raindrop (RDP), the token of Rainfall. 2.5% of each transaction is paid to the Nodes. The Rainfall Tokenomics whitepaper explains the split of the overall revenue per RSI sold in detail.
Share of infrastructure costs for each piece of intelligence produced -
Creating Kindred Bits and the RSI produced from it, typically has small infrastructure costs associated with - blind compute etc. calculated automatically by the system, and this is factored into the pricing of RSI, which is shared amongst participating Nodes.
2.5% of any new mint ****
The Rainfall Tokenomics whitepaper explains the process of new minting in the Rainfall System. Nodes participating in this mint, receive 2.5% collectively from the RDP minted.
There are 2 types of Nodes in the Rainfall System, and they have differing levels of participation in the benefits listed above.
Full Nodes are eligible for participation in the mint process. This consensus driven process results in the selection of one Full Node as the Mint Master. Mint Masters run the mint process and can win a bounty of 1.5% of the mint amount. The remainder of the Full Nodes are eligible for a 1% reward shared equally amongst all voting members. For non-mint transactions (defined in 1. above) the initiating Full Nodes are eligible for the 0.5% fees and remaining 2% is shared equally among participating Full nodes.
Full Nodes will be equipped with a DAC service. The DAC service will be clustered into batches 7 (Multi Master Nodes) using the Sharded Auto Cluster Responsive Enlistment for DACs (SACRED) Protocol. Full Nodes use the SACRED protocol to form data availability clusters. Each Cluster can have a maximum of 7 nodes.
Full Nodes may only be acquired in the official Node Sale.
Basic Validator Nodes can be brought up post community sale by external entities, and while these nodes have no purchase price but require staking of RDP to be part of Validator Ecosystem.
Basic Nodes cannot participate in the Mint Process (defined in 3. above) but are eligible for 1.5% of every non mint transaction. Out of the 1.5% transaction fees for non mint transactions the initiating Basic Node will be eligible for 0.25% and remaining 1.25% is shared equally among participating Basic nodes.
