Monsoon is Rainfall’s native Proof-of-Stake (PoS) chain. It is the Ledger and library of the system with a native token called the Raindrop (RDP) and its secondary unit - the w00t.
A L2 validium on Ethereum, it records provenance, possession, permission and purchase of every piece of intelligence. Monsoon also hosts the complex mechanisms required to effect the tokenomics of the system (minting, staking, pricing, burning and later, swapping).

Differential privacy is an encryption technology that enables learning about aggregated large data sets while never being able to reproduce the original data or discover the individuals who contributed that data. Rainfall utilizes these differential privacy techniques, run locally on your phone, to ensure your personally identifiable information remains private.
No, we adhere strictly to the principles of Self-Sovereign Identity and we will never collect, copy or store any personally identifiable information. Your data stays in your control (again - you have agency over your data) and merely informs Rainfall’s sophisticated edge-based AI algorithms, which then go forth and create the Real-time Social Insights.
Sharing data with Rainfall is completely safe since we never transfer or store your data. Rainfall believes you should own your data and that data privacy is a fundamental right. You can choose what type of data you want to share, or not, and the data you share is NEVER collected or stored by Rainfall.
Rainfall is completely free and will always remain that way. But to be clear, unlike current big-tech companies, you are NOT the product. This is true fair use economics. You just need an iOS phone (Android coming) and a registration invite. We are currently still in the pre-launch phase.
The Raindrop is the system token of Rainfall and it is the medium for value exchange between data creators (you) and buyers (companies). You earn Raindrops, which can be used or converted based on your choice.
Sharing data with Rainfall will allow you to unlock the financial value of your data and enable you to earn Raindrops. You receive Raindrops when the Real-time Social Insights generated from your data are purchased by companies.
